Dr. Madhukar Shukla has keen interest in the area of social sector and social entrepreneurship with a specific focus on financially sustainable and scalable social entrepreneurial models, which create socio-environmental wealth. A member of the Advisory Council of University Network for Social Entrepreneurship (founded by Ashoka: Innovators for the Public and Skoll Center for Social Entrepreneurship, Oxford University), he was also the conference coordinator for the National Conference on Social Entrepreneurship in 2009 and 2010. He was on the Jury for the Microfinance Award ’07, instituted by PlaNet Finance, and has been an assessor for the India NGO Awards 2007, 2008 & 2009. Currently Madhukar also serves on the core-team of Aspen Institute’s Teaching Innovation Program (India), which aims to incorporate the socio-environmental content in the management-school education.
