Sunny Bhattacharjee is founder director of Technable Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a for-profit social enterprise, based in Kolkata, working in the education segment. Technable delivers an end-to-end solution involving job opportunity awareness development, career counseling, employability assessment, training needs analysis, need-based training and providing employment linkage (in that order) to marginalized youth at an affordable price by forming an ecosystem of corresponding stakeholders and thereby attempts to address and resolve one of the most critical problems facing India, the unemployment.
Prior to Technable, Sunny had 18 years of extensive experience in telecommunications and IT industries in the USA spanning from hands on systems development and solutions implementation to corporate management and then entrepreneurship. During the tenure he has served multi-national companies (like Nortel and MCI), as well as start ups, in various management, executive and consulting capacities. Sunny holds an MS in Computer Science Engineering. Sunny, a Sankalp 2009 winner, has received the 2010 Social Enterprise Leadership Award at Social Enterprise Alliance Summit and World Forum held recently in San Francisco.
